Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PROSOL
I am the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PROSOL, the
first-ever full-fledged cybersecurity company in Azerbaijan, which was cofounded by him back in 2019. The establishment process of PROSOL
Company has been led by my inspiration for building and managing a
cluster of national high-tech entities in Azerbaijan. Thus, I am represented
today in the leadership of four national high-tech companies as a founder
and manager. These are:
- PROCYBERLAB: the first cybersecurity product of Azerbaijan – a web-based cybersecurity lab, developed by our Research & Development centre for the global market
- PROSOL: dealing with information security and cybersecurity.
- PRODATA: dealing with data science and data analytics.
- PRO-ACADEMY: bringing youth into the local high-tech ecosystem by providing education and training in the fields of cybersecurity, data science, and software development.
More about Mr. Aghayev
I started my professional career at the National NGO Council of Azerbaijan in early 2007 as a
Coordinator for International Affairs and PR. In 2008–2009, I had my first experience in the
private sector as Head of the International Relations Department at Alliance Systems
Company, mainly focusing on business activities in Africa.
Before joining this high-tech journey, I functioned in public service for more than 13 years. I
have been lecturing politics at the Azerbaijani University of Languages and working as a
political researcher at the Strategic Research Centre under the auspice of the President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan from 2008 until 2011.
I joined the International Affairs Department of the Office of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of
Azerbaijan in 2011, where I had the privilege to take an active role in carrying out
parliamentary diplomacy and managing the processes with various international
organisations, like the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council
of Europe, the European Parliament, and the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Countries. I
have also been responsible for bilateral parliamentary relations with several countries,
including the United States, the United Kingdom, Tu rkiye, France, Italy, Japan, Pakistan,
Indonesia, and so on. During the last two years of my 10-year parliamentary career, I was
leading the department as a Deputy Head and then Head (acting) of it.
My experience with AmCham started almost at the same time as my business initiative as an
owner and investor in the technological area. My decision to join AmCham was based on the
fact that the Chamber has a significant role to play in fostering a liberal business environment
and consolidating the private sector in the country.
All these managerial experiences helped me take the chairmanship of the Digital Economy
and Innovations Committee of AmCham for 2022-2024. On June 25, 2024 – I was honoured
by the decision of members to elect me as a Member of the Board of Directors of AmCham
Azerbaijan. Today, I am serving as a Board Member and looking forward to sparing no efforts
in further consolidation of our Chamber.
I feel proud of the fact that I am the initiator of the “ISCD-Azerbaijan” format which is “The
International Cybersecurity Days” Conference that has been taking place for the last four
years. This first international cybersecurity conference initiated by private sector
representatives has a pivotal role in bringing together cybersecurity leaders, policymakers,
and innovators from across the globe including USA, Tu rkiye, Israel, Poland, Ukraine, France,
Kazakhstan, Croatia, Pakistan, Azerbaijan and more to explore the latest challenges and
advancements at the intersection of digital security and sustainability.
